Noma Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 30, 2026

Welcome to Noma.

Noma is an AI agent for individuals and households. It provides personalized everyday assistance and smart home services through conversations, long-term memory, and smart home connections.

We value your privacy. This policy explains what information Noma collects, how we use and protect it, and your control over your data.

1. Information we collect

We may process the following information to provide Noma’s core features.

Account information

When you sign in, we may process your email address; necessary account information from third-party accounts such as Google; name; avatar; user ID; sign-in times; and basic account status.

Noma may currently use email verification codes or third-party accounts for sign-in, without requiring a separate password.

Conversation information

We process text, voice transcripts, images or files you voluntarily provide, Noma’s replies, and necessary conversation context. This information is used to complete your request and maintain conversation continuity.

Long-term memory and personalization

To get to know you over time, we may extract and store lasting information from your interactions, such as preferences, habits, goals, important background, daily rhythms, and information relevant to personalized services.

This information helps tailor responses and services to you. Noma provides features to view, modify, or delete some of this information.

Home Assistant and smart home information

When you choose to connect Home Assistant, we may process its URL and access token, your home name, device names and types, current device states, room or area information, and other necessary entity information supplied by Home Assistant.

This information is used only to establish the connection, read home states, and control devices according to your instructions.

Usage and diagnostic information

To keep the service stable, we may collect necessary technical information such as error logs, API request statuses, feature usage, basic device or browser information, and service performance information. We aim to avoid collecting information unrelated to normal product operation.

2. How we use information

We may use information to create and maintain accounts; provide AI conversations; understand your needs and context; provide long-term memory and personalization; connect and control smart devices; check device availability; improve the product; diagnose errors and secure the service; and prevent abuse, attacks, or unauthorized access.

We do not sell your personal information or use your personal data for purposes clearly unrelated to providing Noma services.

3. AI and third-party services

Some features may depend on large language models or other AI services, email verification services, Google sign-in, cloud infrastructure, Home Assistant, and logging, monitoring, or storage services.

When necessary, we may send the minimum information needed to perform the current function to the relevant service. We aim to follow data minimization and avoid sharing unrelated information. Third parties have their own privacy policies and data processing rules.

4. Home Assistant access tokens

Access tokens can grant access to your smart home and require particular protection. Noma makes reasonable efforts to protect these credentials, including avoiding displaying full tokens in plain text, using appropriate secure storage, restricting access, and avoiding logging full tokens.

Manage your Home Assistant permissions carefully. If you suspect a token has leaked, revoke and regenerate it promptly in Home Assistant.

5. Data retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the service. Retention periods may vary by information type.

After you delete data or close your account, we handle related data according to product capabilities and applicable requirements. Some logs, backups, or legally required records may not disappear immediately from every system copy.

6. Your rights

Where supported, you can view your profile; change your name and avatar; view some long-term memories; modify or delete memories; stop using the Home Assistant connection; revoke or replace its token; request deletion of personal data; and close your Noma account.

If a function is not directly available in the product, contact us through user feedback.

7. Data security

We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards, such as access controls, sensitive information protection, server security, log and anomaly monitoring, and necessary protection during data transmission.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If a security incident could significantly affect users, we will take appropriate measures based on the circumstances.

8. Minors

Noma is currently intended primarily for users capable of independently using internet services. If we offer dedicated services for minors in the future, we will add appropriate protections based on the circumstances.

9. Policy updates

We may update this policy as Noma develops. We will notify users of important changes through in-product notices or other appropriate means.
