Noma Terms of Service
Effective date: September 30, 2026
Welcome to Noma.
Noma is a home AI agent that helps with everyday tasks and adapts the home environment to your needs through conversations, long-term memory, and smart home connections.
By using Noma, you agree to this agreement.
1. Services
Noma may offer AI conversations, everyday questions and answers, task planning and assistance, long-term memory, personalized suggestions, Home Assistant connections, smart device status queries and control, and future features.
Available capabilities depend on the current version, available tools, third-party services, and your authorizations.
2. Accounts and sign-in
Sign in using currently supported methods, such as email verification codes or third-party sign-in through Google. You must lawfully control the email address and third-party accounts you use.
Protect your sign-in credentials and authorized devices. Contact us promptly if you notice unusual account activity.
3. Home Assistant connections
Noma can connect Home Assistant after you authorize it. You must have permission to access the instance and control its devices; provide a lawfully obtained URL and access token; and avoid controlling unauthorized third-party devices.
Once connected, Noma may read device states or perform controls at your request. You can revoke authorization or change the access token at any time.
4. Smart home control
Smart devices operate in the physical world and their actions may have real effects. For lower-risk devices such as lights and ordinary plugs, Noma may act directly after you clearly express your intent. Higher-risk devices such as locks, security systems, and gas equipment may require additional confirmation.
Assess whether an action is safe in your actual environment.
5. AI output
Noma uses AI for some services. Outputs may contain inaccurate information, misunderstandings, omissions, outdated information, or results that do not reflect your actual intent.
We aim to improve quality but do not guarantee that all AI outputs are always completely accurate. For important medical, legal, financial, or safety matters, use other reliable information and your own judgment.
6. Long-term memory and personalization
Over time, Noma may learn your preferences, habits, goals, important background, and usage patterns to improve personalization.
Memories reflect past information and may not match your current circumstances. When current information conflicts with history, Noma should prioritize what you currently provide.
7. User conduct
Do not use Noma for illegal activity; unauthorized access to others’ systems or devices; attacking, disrupting, or damaging the service; malicious resource consumption; obtaining other users’ data; bypassing security or permissions; controlling devices without authorization; or other conduct that may harm users, third parties, or normal operation.
We may take necessary measures, including restricting access, when we identify clear abuse.
8. Third-party services
Some features rely on Home Assistant, AI model services, Google sign-in, email, cloud services, or other third-party platforms. These may experience outages, delays, API or permission changes, or termination.
Noma cannot guarantee that all third-party-dependent features will remain permanently, continuously, or completely reliably available.
9. Availability
We aim to keep Noma operating normally. Temporary unavailability may result from maintenance, network problems, third-party failures, an unreachable Home Assistant, user device or network issues, or unforeseen technical problems. We do not promise uninterrupted availability.
10. User data
We process user data according to the Noma Privacy Policy. For collection, use, retention, and deletion details, see:
11. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, rights to the Noma brand, logo, page designs, product content, code, documentation, and other original content belong to Noma or the respective rights holders.
Code released as open source is governed by its corresponding open-source license.
12. Responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable rules, responsibility for issues arising from incorrect Home Assistant configuration, leaked access tokens, third-party device failures, Home Assistant faults, network problems, third-party outages, unconfirmed high-risk actions, or incorrect user information is assessed according to the circumstances.
Noma will not deliberately exaggerate its capabilities or claim an action succeeded when the tool did not actually complete it.
13. Account closure
You may request account closure using the features currently available. Associated data is handled according to the Privacy Policy. Closure may make data, memories, and settings unrecoverable; confirm before proceeding.
14. Agreement updates
This agreement may change as Noma develops. We will notify users appropriately of significant changes. Continued use may indicate acceptance of the updated agreement.
